Leadership coaching is often referred to as executive coaching, but it is more than simply coaching executives. As Daniel White says in his seminal book Coaching Leaders, coaching leaders has many dimensions, among them framing a vision, mission and strategy to move an organization forward as well as putting forward a system that structures thinking and action. All of these leadership practices can be framed through the four main drives that motivate human behavior:
The drive to acquire
The drive to bond
The drive to learn
The drive to defend
(Coaching Leaders, page 12).
I work with leaders to help them frame their activities and move themselves and their organizations forward.
Contact me if you or your organization would benefit from focused coaching on how to harness these drives and move forward.
